Nice one! I have fitted thermo fan in front of radiator with temp activated switch. I have removed engine fan. No overheating issues since I fitted heat shield to protect webers

Did you mount the fan to the radiator core or make up some mounts?

Did you use metal bolts with large washers or plastic tie-like thingies? What brand of Fan? I have bought a couple of Chinese ones from Supercheap and not sure re their reliability.

I just used the plastic thingies with a Supercheap thermo myself - bit noisy but it works - I am going to get a quieter one, but will probably have to pay more
Cheers 8-)

The supercheap ones have crapy flow, huge power draws and are noisy. Other then that they still work better then a tired clutch fan or a fixed fan. I've used them extensively with the cheap thermo switches and only ever once had a problem which was the switch but I've always wired them up with an override switch.
